Prof. Saikat Ghosh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at IIT Kanpur and leads the Atomic Magnetometers technical group under Qmet Tech Foundation. His research focuses on developing atomic magnetometers that achieve high precision and sensitivity in real-world conditions, with applications in geophysics, navigation, and biomedical research.
Prof. Ghosh’s work is focused on integrating multiple sensor platforms into a cascaded sensing system that allows for measurements across multiple precision ranges. This work is at the cutting edge of quantum-enhanced metrology, and Prof. Ghosh aims to make quantum sensing technologies more accessible and practical for real-world applications.
