About Qmet Tech Foundation
Qmet Tech Foundation has been set up as a Section-8 company (not-for-profit) by IIT Bombay under the National Quantum Mission (NQM), being implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Under the Human Resource Development initiative, the Quantum Sensing and Metrology T-Hub (QSM T-Hub) is committed to bridging the existing gaps in the field of Quantum Technologies and Applications (QTA), with a focus on advancing quantum sensing, imaging, metrology, and related domains. Through a series of targeted initiatives, fellowships, and training programs, QSM T-Hub seeks to equip students, researchers, and professionals with the necessary skills to drive innovation, solve industry problems, and foster entrepreneurship in this rapidly evolving field.
About the Program
Qmet PARIMANA (Program for Advanced Research in Imaging, Metrology, And Nano-scale Applications of Quantum Sensing) Internship is an initiative under the National Quantum Mission (NQM) with a focus on human resource development. The proposed program aims to strengthen academia-industry linkages and build a skilled workforce in Quantum Technologies and Applications (QTA). The program will provide science, engineering and technical students with hands-on internships, enabling them to tackle real-world industry challenges, including those faced by industry, and gain practical experience in quantum sensing and metrology (QSM).
Applications were invited from students in any one of the following application areas:
Time keeping
Gravity sensing
Navigation (GPS-free)
Biomedical imaging & diagnostics
Magnetic/electric field/Temperature sensing using atoms, ions, NV centers etc
Precision measurement
Quantum Imaging
